What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote for a customer, I would need the date, approximate time and location of the event, plus the estimated number and approximate ages of children attending.
A brief description of the type of event would also be helpful, such as indoors or outdoors, if it's for a birthday party, fete or corporate function and how long the entertainer is required for and if there is any parking. I can then offer a variety of entertainment suitable for the occasion with different price options.

It would be advisable to check out the provider's website for more information and look for any reviews, photographs or video clips they may have from past events to see if this is suitable for your particular event.
Don't be afraid to ask questions and check up on the type of entertainment they can provide, what experience the supplier has, how long they have been working professionally and if they have public liability insurance.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

As a professional entertainer for over 30 years, I have been entertaining audiences all over the world in a variety of acts, working in holiday camps, on cruise ships, in cabaret and on TV as well as supporting a number of celebrities. I've always been creative and passionate about my work and able to adapt to accordingly, so it was a natural progression after years in show business as a cabaret artiste, to work as a children's entertainer. I have always had a love for animals and raise awareness and funds for endangered wildlife, so I set up Big Cat Jungle parties with an animal theme as it is something different and I know lots of children love animals.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I've had some brilliant bookings from Add to Event and each one has been fun, different and rewarding in their own way. From mix 'n' mingle balloon modelling at a corporate function to a full show entertaining children at events and parties, it has been a privilege and delight to entertain both children (and adults!).
