We will need the date, time and duration of the event; the amount of adults and children at times is also very helpful. If they're asking for a mascot visit, how long would they like the visit for. Whether the event is indoor or outdoor. Also the most important is the parties age range.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask about the size of the bouncy castles as they would need to ensure the venue can fit it in comfortably without blocking toilets or scraping the roof. For popcorn machines and candy cart, ask if its fully loaded and comes with trained staff. For the mascots ask if it comes with a gift and ask the duration of visits. Ask to see previous work of balloon modelling and face painting. If they're offering food, ask if they've got a food safety certificate and a food rating certificate.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I was organising my daughters first birthday/christening and thought I could do this as a business from home, I really didn't expect it to be as successful as it is! I love working with children, I get the best of everyones kids and make them happy even if its just a couple of hours. It's a very rewarding career.
